Does God Answer our Prayers?

Here are some testimonies how God indeed answers our prayers!

Angel meets Iranian

An Iranian women from Germany was met by an angel in a dream. After that she now wants to know more from the Christian faith and is in contact with a cell group from a church.

Berlin

In Berlin, Germany, a cell group with former Muslims (3-4 converts who came to Christ after the last Ramadan), during this Ramadan experienced members returning after a long absence, with a “new fire” for the Lord.

North Africa

From North Africa the first known person from the Saharawi people has recently converted to Christ.

Christian Radio to Muslims

In a letter just received from HCJB World Radio, in the last 12 months there has been increased response to gospel broadcasts, and reports of clear reception where reception was previously only fair. HCJB goes on to say that they have recently seen miraculous open doors with government permits, finances and missionary staff. In the Middle East there is an increased focus and enthusiasm for providing radio for Muslim countries.

Missionaries to Muslims

According to Frontiers, the numbers of missionaries to Muslims has now doubled. Just in the last few years the number of missionaries has increased from a mere 1,000 to over 2,000 missionaries among the 1.1 billion Muslims.

Moroccan Women finds real joy

In a letter received from Morocco, a Christian women writes; “My joy is so big that I have taken the decision to write to you to share it. I have received the gift that every Christian hopes to receive and that I have prayed for such a long time. It was before dawn on Friday during Ramadan and as I set about my usual Ramadan prayers I began to pray something unusual. I prayed, ‘O God, make of my spirit a reservoir of your ideas. Use my mouth and lips to announce your salvation. Use my feet to go where you want. Amen.’ As I had almost finished these words I felt an unexplainable feeling, a joy that I cannot describe. I gave thanks to God for almost two hours. I now know that I have found God and he has filled me in His Holy Spirit to a wonderful fullness. I now know that only He saves!” (translated from French)

From the Middle East

This was our first time to use 30-days while actually living in a Muslim country. We can view a couple of dozen mosques from our rooftop, and you can imagine the sound during prayer calls! I am often awakend by the predawn call to prayer at the mosque less than a hundred yards from our bedroom, but as I lay listening to the lonely and echoing sound in the early morning darkness, I was encouraged that Christians across the globe were praying to a God who not only hears their prayers, but answers them.

Jesus is the only way and the truth and life, and whoever will believe in Him will have life forever. Jesus knows everything about you and your life and all your problems that you have, just come to Him and ask Him to forgive you and you will receive joy and peace, no matter how tough your life may seem Jesus is always there and He answered my prayers, and is because He cares about His creation and He wants to know whats on our hearts, He knows everything but He wants to hear us tell Him… Because of His great love towards humanity, He has died on the cross and rose… He took all sins on the cross with Him, because He wanted everybody to believe in Him so that no one would die but be saved forever.

      May God bless you,
Believe in Him and you will be saved
      You will find the Truth!

  4. agape says:

Christianity should have a Da’wah requirement like the Muslims. They encourage each other in their Faith and invite outsiders to know more about Islam. Instead of reading a website, we should invite Muslim friends to share the Eucharist with us, and sing hymns with us in our churches. Some of us have been invited to pray with them. Muslims should read the Gospels to understand the Christian truth of redemption, hope and endless love. And people should study the history of each others religions so we can have more understanding of each other. Displays of chauvinism like some of these comments will never be as powerful as beautiful preaching stemming from true belief.

  5. Elizabeth Low says:

hi, my name is Elizabeth Low. I attend CrossCulture Church of Christ regularly. My passion is to make Christ known to all people, and to capture God’s missionary heart and love for His people. A short testimony i would like to share briefly is that God recently has changed my heart, attitude, ideas and understanding of muslims. More than that, He has planted a seed of love in my heart to pray for the Muslims and the Islamic world. Recently i managed to grab hold of the booklet-30 Days of Prayer 2009 for the muslim world, at my church last sunday after church service. I would like to get more involved in this prayer focus on muslims- My question is, is there a weekly prayer group set up already by committed christians in Australia (i m from melb)whom i can unite with them together in prayer for the muslims?

Another question i would like to ask is, how can i support this ministry financially?
I dont have a credit card- so i cant donate my funds electronically to you. Is there another alternative i could contribute financially?

    Thanks for your listening ears….

    God bless…

May God continue to use you in a mighty way, to bring all glory to Him, that your heart will interwine with His heart for the muslim world.

    In Jesus,
    Elizabeth Low :)

A testimony i would like to share that may encourage you to love and pray for the muslims- for our heart to intertwine with the heart of God for muslims:

God planted this thought- desire in my heart and spirit tonight when i was on my way to a missionary prayer meeting at my church… (as i was reading the booklet-30 days of prayer for the muslim world-2009 trying to seeking understanding of the muslims values, cultures, their understanding of jesus christ and the christian faith)- God reminded me of what ISLAM means to Him- in just five words ” I SO LOVED ALL MUSLIMS”- These words were spoken by one of the guest speakers, a westerner who has a heart of God’s love for the muslim world, who came to speak in my church at one of our annual missionary convention many years ago.

This truly reflects the missionary heart of God for His people. His heartbeat for all people- He desires all people to come to know Him. In this respect, when He reminded me of these five words, He revealed His heart to me- His deep love for all muslims.

May i challenge you to humble yourselves, seek God’s face and pray for our neighbours- the muslims….instead of trying to win an argument with the muslims about who is right, who is wrong.
As much as there are many muslims who still has a limited vague understanding of what christian faith truly means, their understanding of Jesus Christ, and the Trinity, we too as christians we also have a vague and limited understanding of the muslims faith, culture…values…etc.

If God can soften my heart towards muslims and change my atttiude and understanding of muslims, He can do the same for you too, if you let Him.

This major change in my attitude towards muslims is not based on my emotions. But rather as an act of will. Not by my willpower or determination. But by God’s power and His grace.

Let us all seeking understanding of the muslims world- their culture, their beliefs, values and respect them and sees them the way God sees them.

It is a reminder to all of us that it is not our job to convict muslims….of sin and judgement. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that convicts the hearts of many and It is God himself to do the transforming work. Our job as Christians is to seek God and pray for the muslims and love them as our neighbours.

i hope that challenges you and speaks to your heart.

Let us all be united together in the Spirit of love to pray for our dear neighbours, the muslims and reflect Christ-like love to them…in our actions and let our lives truly reflect God’s glory, his beauty, his love, his majesty, and splendor- thats what Jesus, as Son of God means!! His kingship and Lordship, His majesty, power and splendor!!

God bless you all….may all our hearts together intertwined with the heart of God for the muslim world.

In awe of the One who gave it all for me,
    Elizabeth

        hi TDI,

i understand…i will try my best and all to be sensitive when it comes to security issues.

Please clarify what you mean by posting too many details on public websites?

So far i have only share that on my facebook profile. Have i gone a bit too far in trying to promote to my church members to join the global event?

If so, i sincerely apologise for my insensitivity and lack of wisdom.

I will make sure from now on to keep it simple and discrete as much as possible.

        God bless, ‘

        Elizabeth Low :)

        • Rob says:

Elizabeth, I appreciate your boldness. No need to apologize. Just be aware that anyone on the planet with internet access can read your post and details you make available on this site. Of course, that kind of openness brought Jesus, Paul, Peter and others a good deal of suffering. I believe our friend in admin is just saying, “Make sure your eyes are open as you share, even if boldly.” May the living God be your guide.

  7. Rob says:

Linguistically, the word “Allah” predated Muhammad by many centuries and certainly refers to the Creator. Look up the etymology of the English word “God” and you’ll find a hazy history, not linked to any Greek or Hebrew word (which doesn’t matter) but no more (or less) descriptive of our Creator than Allah. Even if someone today has a different view of God today (by brother told me he thinks God is sadistic or has a terrible sense of humor) that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use the name “God” in conversation. Our effort needs to be to clarify His character and what He wants from us and for us.

  8. Rob says:

Great challenge! I agree with all my heart your wish that “Christians would find the real God and real Jesus.” There is much we are mistaken about. May I suggest the same, too, for those who are Muslims? Clearly Islam deeply honors Jesus as a prophet. Muhammad did the same. How can we learn more? I would suggest reading the very scriptures that Muhammad honored and speak the most about Jesus, the Injil, which was in it’s current form in the day of Muhammad.

  9. Rob says:

Does God answer prayer? Absolutely! Perhaps not always in the way or timing that I want, but He always answers. In other words, He may say one of three things, “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait.” When I wanted to get married, He said, “Wait.” I’m glad He did and I did. When I had brain cancer and wanted to continue being a dad, He said, “Yes.” Other times, He says, “No.” Like when I want revenge or to be unforgiving, lazy or unloving. Even when He says no to something I think should really be done (like heal another friend of cancer) I know His decision is always best and is rooted in His good purposes for eternity.

  10. Iyad says:

Peace be upon you all, Jesus PBUH never said I’m god, and Alla promised that Jesus coming back to break the cross and show humanity the true believe. For all Christians, read Quraan and see the promises happening one after one and from my heart I am calling : harry up before the time runs out.
    Regards
