The day Islam will become the dominant faith on the planet is the day when world peace will prevail.
I doubt that the Islamic religion becoming the largest in the world would result in peace. If we look at many of the Islamic countries in the world, we see that they are also where huge amounts of both juvilanty and government fighting is occurring. The islamic religion has not brought peace to these countries, but rather war, just as it would as the dominant faith in the world.
as for your knowledge,not a single muslim country is following islam…………not even saudi arab..only a part of a shariah law is there i.e criminal law…and u can see the results there,it has a very low crime rate as compared to the other countries of the world

Jerusalem was taken in 1076. The whole of Christendom did nothing for 20 years!! All they wanted was pilgrimage rights, but the Muslims MURDERED every single Christian Pilgrim that tried to enter into Jerusalem. For 20 YEARS CHRISTIANS DID NOTHING WHILE MUSLIMS SLAUGHTERED CHRISTIANS IN LANDS TAKEN FROM THE CHRISTIANS BY ISLAMIC CONQUERORS!!! After 3 pleas from Byzantium, Rome decided to act because of the assassination of a Royal member who took a pilgrimage and was assassinated during it. You need to get facts straight. According to World Christian Encyclopedia, CNN, BBC, Times and Britannica Muslims are not converting people. The by far majority of the growing muslim population is because of reproduction. The world is not facing a growth in converts to Islam, rather a lot of children being born. Muslim families have more children then other families in the world. Christians are converting more then twice the number as muslims. In Africa, Asia, South America Muslims, Hindus, Confucists and all sorts of other religions are converting in droves. Sorry, but Islam is just not converting anyone. Get your facts straight.

I will tell you something, I was a catholic for 21 years of my life. I used to go to church every sunday and sometimes I went to church (to pray and read bible) 4 times per week. I felt very good during that time.
Then one day I met muslims and for my surprise they were more devoted to God than me and than all the catholics that I knew. I started wondering about that. I started reading more the bible so I could teach my arab friends about Jesus.
Then before I started preaching to them about Christianity I decided to read the Qur’an to understand a little bit of their faith. And here was the miracle.
When I started reading the Qur’an I felt an immense peace in my heart. I couldn’t understand why I was feeling so peaceful. Then I continued reading the Qur’an for various days, months. And I truly tell you, I now believe that There is no God but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
ISLAM is Great no argue about that

And I was a Muslim who turned Catholic with the opposite view of yours, and there are many Muslims leaving the faith. There is too much violence and hatred amongst too many Muslims. They have superiority issues about their religion. Muslims countries treat non Muslims poorly yet expect to be welcomed in non Muslim ones. There is a lot of tacchyia amongst Muslims, lying for the religion, protecting Muslims who do wrong. Not admitting the problems within it. Many Muslims are going the other route, blame the radicals you allow amongst your mosques, the clerics who preach the hatred, some of the books some Muslims force their children to read. It should be a choice, you shouldnt be punished for leaving it like some are. There are more reasons to leave it than to join it.
Can I ask you a few questions? If the Lord was murdered by some peoples’ act, what kind of a god is this? Was he okay with them crucifying him? If yes, then his killers must have been blessed because they fulfilled his desire! If no…then their power subjugated his! If the Lord was killed, then who sustained the heavens and the earth? Who answered the prayers? And if Christ was God, then if he died, how did he revive himself…or was the reviver another God?! How could the cross bear the might of the True Lord? How could the metal pierce his skin and hurt him? And what is even more amazing is the belly that contained him! For 9 months, he sustained by his mother’s blood! And when he was born, small and weak, he was wanted to be sustained by breastmilk, and ended up growing naturally! He ate and he grew. What kind of a god is this?! If the Lord was crucified, then why do you revere the Cross that he was killed on? Surely it is a cursed thing, for God was killed on it! Break it and crush it with your foot! If you revere the cross that God was killed on, are you then not His enemies? If Christ is God, then why did the Earth exist for billions of years before God? The Creation existed before the Creator? And if you say that Christ is fully God, then how did God die? And if you say that he is separate from God, is this not polytheism?
U know the issue of the divinity of Jesus Christ is a mystery – meaning it cant be fully explained. You need to know that Jesus is fully God and Fully man! He was born of a virgin to show his divine descent but had to be born to show his humanity. He came to die so that man can be free from sin but also came to show us how to live so he had to be human. Only blood from a sinless human can totally cleanse a man from sin so God Himself became man and died for man.

Any religion that has to rely so heavily on fear tactics has to be suspect. I’ve been reading the Quran for over a decade — and I am as disgusted by it today as I was when I first picked it up. How come Islam treats women differently in different parts of the world. They seem to be more liberal in Turkey, Indonesia, and Lebanon but the Arabian countries are more restrictive. Is the difference mainly cultural or do different followers of Islam interpret the Koran differently?
You said it your self, you listed countries. Islam has nothing to do with the way people treat women. It depends on each and every countries culture and the mentality of the people and most importantly the level of education of each country. If you want to know how Islam treats women just open the Quran and read. Don’t misunderstand Islam because of the actions of the people. No one is perfect regardless to what religion they follow. @prince We are more Christian than Christians themselves! If christianity means to follow Jesus Christ’s teaching, we are better followers in Christianity than you! Jesus forbids to eat swine and pork, yet christians eat it! Jesus bowed down and prayed to One God (Allah) alone, yet Christian worship and pray to Jesus for forgiveness instead of the One Almighty God (Allah). Jesus Christ said: “Worship one God, alone.” and he said “My Father (i.e God) is better than I”.

There is immense joy and suffering in being a Christian, but more than that – there is the momentous occasion of experiencing closeness, love and security from God as an adopted son.
Stephen, as a Christian, I view God through the lens of relationship, not a legal system. If you carefully read the New Testament, you will find that the Mosaic Law was merely a temporary emplacement to tutor the Israelites until Jesus came. Please consider that God’s dealings with Abraham were based on relationship and Abraham was a righteous man outside of the law. He was God’s friend. God is looking for a relationship with us. An obedient-love-faith relationship. All three elements are important.
The apostle John was clear in his statement of this:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
How can we walk in the light as he is in the light if we are not obedient to God?

why are you splitting Christianity into the different categories but do not divide Islam? As far as I know Shia Islam and Sunna Islam are essentially different religions.
And you should state growth relative to the natural growth of the population and base rate. Otherwise the percentages don’t mean anything. Just a hint from a mathematician

I get what you mean, but for the most part Sunni Islam and Shi’ite Islam are the same religions, but MINOR differences. So you can’t really classify them as ‘different religions’ seriously, do you even know the differences? They are very few and minor, but it separates them because it causes corruption when together. Same goes for the Christians and Catholics and Protestant etc. When they are put together (look at world history) they fight even worse then the fights between Sunni and Shi’ite. Another thing for the Christians and Catholics, etc. They believe in many different things, many major different things, in many different sects. As for Islam only having two major sects (Sunni making up more then 80% and Shi’ite making about 15%) and smaller sects making about 5%. The sects in Christians are numerous and there isn’t really a dominant group. One thing that makes Christians and Catholics, etc. able to be split is what they believe about Jesus. Some believe he is God and some believe he is Son of God, and some even believe he is a prophet (who most of the time become Muslim). The difference in the Christians is enormous while the difference in the Muslims is minor. That’s why you can separate the Christians and can’t separate the Muslims.
Muslims ahve the highest number of children per woman, so no surprise. The fact is more people leave Islam than become Muslims. I am one but most apostates remain silent.
