Only Christians know other Christians. Believers are isolated, and rarely have oppertunity for fellowship in this 99.8% Muslim land. Rosenberg estimates 3,000-5,000 Afghani believers. OM says there are reports of isolated conversions, but these cannot be confrimed at the preasent time. Only now are the first house churches beinging to form in the country. Most Afghani are strong Muslims, and few would willingly give up Islam. It is now a little safer for Chrsitian aidworkers in Afghanistan then under the Taliban, but for afghani believers its pratically no different.
