* for a warding off of radical Islam in Kazakhstan
* for protection for the growing number of known Kazakh believers

Kazakhs, even the secular ones, are very proud of their Islamic heritage. Under decades of cultural oppression, Kazakhs are free to be who they are; Islam is very important in Kazakh identity.
